The world is changing and our little town must change with it or fall by the wayside. We can't keep putting the same people in office and expect anything but what we have now. Don't get me wrong, I love Clendenin. I feel safe as long as we have our police dept. but yes it does come at a cost. Nothing is free. My problem is the junk, if you drive into town on 119 N. its awful, there are burned out houses as soon as you get into town ( some have been there for years now) and people are stacking junk in their yard so thick you can't see the grass.(corner of 119 and wall street) this drops the property value and people don't want to move to our town because of it. If the mayor did nothing else but make people clean up I would vote for him again. Our town may have problems but it doesn't have to look like a junk yard!
